The Silver Disc Roadshow was established in 1990 by Andrew Stallard, the sole Proprietor and DJ. Whilst just 17 years old, and doing an Electronic Engineering Apprenticeship for a local Aerospace company, Andrew was asked to provide a disco for a local youth group. So some bits of kit were collected from various sources, a pair of speakers were borrowed from a friend, and a couple of light boxes were constructed. This was the first outing for The Silver Disc Roadshow.

Over the years, Andrew has established himself, and the Disco, as one of the leading entertainment innovators in the area. Thought to be one of the first disco's in the area to be 100% digital, using Compact Discs as the sole medium for music since the very start, Andrew has constantly invested heavily into the roadshow to keep it at the leading edge in technology.

The Silver Disc Roadshow uses some of the latest Intelligent Lighting from one of the world leaders in this type of technology - Martin Professional. Martin are renowned for their superior products, with a build quality to match. Combine that with some of the normal lighting you would expect from a mobile disco, as well as some special items like a bubble machine, all imaginatively controlled throughout the performance, you get a show that equals a club environment.
To compliment the lighting, the Disco uses CD players and a mixer from the professional range from Pioneer. These are some of the closest CD players to represent the facilities, up until now, only found on club-level record-decks. They have the ability to change the pitch (speed) of a track, and have instant start, that allow for seamless mixing just as with vinyl.

With the entire music collection on CD, the Disco can accommodate almost every taste. And, as all the music is carried to every show, most requests can be found on the night. Music from the Big-Band era of the 40's right up to all the latest chart releases, and everything in-between, are all available at the push of a button. The entire collection is also catalogued on a custom written database, and a PC is carried to most shows. This helps find those odd tracks that a normal disco wouldn't have time to try and locate.

Andrew spends a lot of his spare time constantly improving the roadshow, and along with his dedicated attitude towards running a leading disco, you can be assured that when you book The Silver Disc Roadshow, you are dealing with a professional.
